Totally agree. The Cali is targeted at practical folks. The 458, like the 360, 430 are targeted at folks who wanna have fun and don't have much 'baggage' to carry.

There are alternative options. I'm sure Lamborghini, McLaren or Porsche would appreciate your custom but I think the 458 Spider will be worth the wait.

Yes since coupe owners will take preference for first spider deliveries in USA Q1 2012 after frankfurt launch September 2011. No coupe 458 no spider.

Yes,Frankfurt ,September 2011 Pre production examples were being built on the V 8 assembly line a montth ago.

That was the reason I was given by management whilst at Maranello for the FF visit a month ago. Testing the roof mechanism for 6 months before official launch does not seem unreasonable. After these examples were built the V8 line was going to be available to visitors again
