458 to F12 consideration

To keep on the side note since you felt the need to call me out...the R8 V10 Plus (not the base R8) basically is a Huracan I've driven both and have plenty of seat time in both. Engine is the same. Transmission and gearing is the same. At the time (2017) I was looking to daily the car and if you're buying a weekend toy I would pick the Huracan but to put milage on it and drive every day the R8 is the better car. In 5 years I put over 35,000 miles on the R8. The Huracan has evolved since 2017 to further differentiate itself from the R8 I'll give you that. I'm not anywhere near the caliber of some Ferrari owners wealth but cost was not an issue between Huracan and R8 for me but hey I guess I'm too poor to own a Huracan so bought a lowly 2017 F12 instead.

 

Let me guess you own a Touareg and tell your friends it's basically a Urus too?

 

Nah I just tell people when they ask if my F12 is an 812 Superfast I say yes!

 

We know people don't ask that. They ask, "This is a Ferrari California, right?"

Every time.

 

All joking aside few know it's an F12 and most ask is that the 812 Super fast? One person did say is that the California lol.

In one week I had three people ask if my F12 is a California...glad to know I'm not the only one. Maybe "California" is easier to remember than anything numbered (360, 458, 812 etc).

 

I have replaced my 458 with an F12. Now I am considering buying another 458, but by no means I will sell the F12.
