Hi folks, I was cleaning up the interior of a clients 458 and made a mistake. The VDA switch had this very gummy/sticky goo all over it that I was trying to clean up for her and while doing so the coating on the switches faceplate wiped right off. So I have to replace that switch now. I was only using a lightly damp cloth to try to remove whatever this residue is but apparently that was too much. Can anyone direct me towards the manuals that may be available here to help me disassemble that area of the cluster so I can remove the switch assembly. I don't know If I can get just the faceplate itself or if it is the entire swtich that has to be replaced but I read elsewhere that I need to remove a handful of dash pieces to be able to get to the screws that hold the switch in place. I am a fairly competent car guy and have been around and working on these cars before, but have never pulled a 458 dash apart and could definitely use some positive direction right now. Cheers!
