    hey everyone

I am considering swapping my 458 italia to a spider either 458 or 488. I love the 458 and prefer the 458 coupe over the 488 coupe.

But when it comes to the spider, whats everyones thoughts on them? I know I can't go wrong with 458 spider but is the 488 have enough positive changes to make the move?

You need a even better sound system in 488 spider. Just joking!

I had a 458 Italia and rented a 488 spider for a week and did a tour in Europe.

Both had goldrake seats which is a must for me.

I agreed with everything I had read before about the comparison. 488 more planted and you of course notice the increase in torque.

The sound wasn’t bad at city speeds, lots of pops and gurgles to enjoy.

Depends on what you want, I am a sound guy. The exhaust is very important to my driving joy but the 488 was a great car.

I am just a NA type of guy.

Drive both spiders if you can, you will know.

Torque is addictive. I vote change it up and go for 488

I went from a 458 Italia to a 488 GTB. I love all the improvements so far. I only miss the sound of the 458 when I'm above 5,000 RPM (under that, I prefer the 488 sound). Both are great cars. There is no bad choice!
