At first let me explain.. I just want to show my theory according to some my personal experiences. I can't create a new video combining the two videos posted below since I have not the permission by EVO Italy ( I never asked to them to be sincere). I just prefer to put the link of their video togheter with mine .
I had the possibility to test for the 2th time the Speciale on a race track and got quite nice results. Nothing special as the car deserves, but still something interesting.
What I wish to show is that the Speciale is really an efficient tool even for not professional pilots like me .
To understand better what I mean you should open the two videos separately and run them togheter to see the differences between the two cars (you will look how the cars performs in this way with different set up and tires on the same race track). My car was settled in Race (not yet tested Ct/off on race track, I will do next time) with several cutting of power during my lap (and this affected sure the final lap times) and I repeat was my 2th attempt with the car on a race track. The 458 raced by EVO was of course not a Speciale and was running standard tires with Ct/Off.My theory is that even a not expert driver (ok I know the race track since I went there several times with my GT3) with the Speciale can compete with a standard 458 piloted by a "professional" driver . My car had better tires and more focused set up but a worse driver while the 458 was in the hands of a professional and much younger driver since I am 50th years old (he is very expert about 458 in general and he is used to race them officially ).So interesting comparison .The lap times are practically the same even if I made some mistakes. And what I can tell you is that I am sure I will be able to cut at least one second in the next future since I have seen several times after this lap, better split times with my telemetry but the traffic didn't allow me to continue in that way the full lap.. The traffic is the reason why before to really start my lap, I was so slow. That day it was an open pit lane date and I needed to create some free space between me and the other cars in front of me and in the last turn I was too slow loosing sure few decimals in the following straight ..
Just a note about the fastest laps on that race track: Evo with 458 (1:19,5) Evo with Nissan Gtr and 991 Gt3 (1:19,6 and 1:19,8..) .Mine 458 Speciale 1:20. I can even tell that a professional pilot made a lap time below 1:19 with the 430 Scuderia in the past, years ago so I just wonder what a pro driver can do with a Speciale there…What a car !!
So all this, to invite you to use your Speciale on race tracks. It is a wonderful tool… Enjoy her. It is incredibly fast ,quite easy to manage and incredibly rewarding.

Good job. You were much smoother where the Italia required much more steering input.

I have vice versa experience on Istanbul Park Ex-Formula 1 race circuit.

I did 2:12.013 as my best lap time (and theoretical lap time of 2:11.619 if you take my best sector times) with my MY13 458 italia w/Trofeo R tires and Pilota Ferrari instructor and also Kessel Racing Pro driver Giacomo Piccini did 2:08.749 with a 458 Speciale, which is the Circuit Lap Record for street cars. So basically he is faster than me 1 sec in each sector (total of 3 sectors).

2 of my friends (one used to own a 458 italia and the other used to own a Scuderia; both are track junkies) have blown away by the Speciale. They say the response of the car is imminent and something regular 458 italia has never dream off. The brakes are much better and the gearbox is somehow much faster. Their comments made me sick.

Also Piccini said that Speciale would be 1,5 to 2 seconds faster than italia on Istanbul Park if they are both driven on the same tires (so either Trofeo R or Michelin Cup 2.) and 2 seconds is a huge time.

I think we are telling the same things.Speciale si simply faster and I will show it in the next attempt, I am sure, even if I am an amateur and he is a pro..Just give me some extra time. And just think what could happen if the two cars would have been tested by the same pro driver:)

Firstly, really great idea of the OP to share its joy and opinions how great the Speciale is.
There were some differences in cars' set up. 458italia with CT off, Speciale in Race mode, and has SSControl.

But the results are very rewarding.

    Best regards,
