Overall I like the 458 styling far over the 360/430 series ........ though because I own a 355, I am slightly biased in that I believe ..... at minimum ...... the 458 front was styled after the 355 ........ and judging from the similar design wheels ..... I would venture to say the 355 was surely referenced during the 458 design ....... and who could blame them, the 355 is indeed one of the best looking f-cars yet made :D.

I would think the 458 wheels were influenced by the 360 wheel.

Yes, but these wheels are already available as an option on the 16m. So, I don't think you can say they are really 458.

Exactly. They were the wheels on the 16M launch car and were the optional wheel. It explains why the supply of them dried up for 16M's when they were spec'd.

I think it's a fantastic design and it really compliments the brakes.

Aren't they an inch bigger then the 16M's?

348,355,360,430,458... all with 5 spoke (or split 5-spoke) wheels upon debut. Tradition.

The 19" wheels referenced in the 16M press release were the split spoke rims for the scud coupe even though the launch pictures showed the optional ones. The price list I got for the 16M at the beginning of the year didn't even list these wheels as an option and very few 16M's were delivered with these wheels. I understand they became available to purchase recently so I can only assume they are the same wheels as the 458.

The 458 wheel does look pretty big. I think its a 20 inch rim.

Not disputing that. I am trying to say the optional wheels offered for the 16M and shown on the launch car are likely the same as the 458's (ie: 20") rather than the standard scud/16M wheels (19").

I think 5 spoke wheels on Ferraris go back a little longer than the 348 ;)

The Daytona was the first road Ferrari to have 5 spokes as standard fit and the sports racers as shown by the 250LM had them before that. For me they are one of the Ferrari styling cues along with circular tail lights

I was thinking v8's and was going to edit to include the 328, 288 & F40...but I indeed stand corrected. :D

I think they look like a flatter version of the 360 wheel.

I just hope they don't battleship (tuck in) the wheels like they've done on the 360/430 and 355.

The 458 will be rollin' dubs..nice.

That's Ferrari tradition, 5-spokes star wheels, love that!

And I think the 458 wheels are perfect, just paint it black and that's it.

I like your F355 too, but I perfer the couple version.
