Yes... I continue to favor (and hope for) a displacement increase while retaining N/A and cylinder control for efficiency improvement. And I agree that California and 458 clientele are different, with the 458 having more "purists" when it comes to engine configuration. We will see.

Ferrari could do one last run off NA engines with increased displacement.
If they don't I still respect them but They better make the best darn Turbo ever

No, never asked but logic would suggest sometime next year as coupe sales are a struggle here in the UK. I would take the Speciale, last and ultimate evolution of a N/A breed.

Why does it need to be bigger? You do see the flaw in this direction don't you? In 5 years time they will be 12 litre engines :D

We can't and have no need to constantly increase size and power. Performance can come from other areas and heck they are fast enough now. This is just a silly game, surely people don't buy a new Ferrari because it is faster than the old one, surely they are more mature than that?

Remember most are driven on the street by people that are not great drivers. What Ferrari need to do is make the next even more fun or thrilling to drive

Good luck on selling a car against the competition with zero power increase and just promises of it feeling better

Yes I understand where you are coming from but I do not think it would hurt Ferrari sales one bit if it was not faster than the previous model. I personally would be more impressed if Ferrari reduced it's engine size and was able to maintain the same performance.

And also if I was buying a new Ferrari the fact that it was faster than the old would not concern me at all. I'm not going to enter a race series with it so that would not be part of my selection criteria. One of the reasons I would not buy a paddle shift car ... pointless for me.

Do you guys that buy these new cars really have that much of an issue with your image? A guy in a lowly Nissan GTR will likely blow you away anyway.

The performance improvements of these cars is partly for magazine masturbation, building the brand image for young boys so when they are older they buy.

NSX is perfect example were they never increased the power But they continued to refine it.It kept on selling in smaller and smaller numbers till eventualy it was discontinued
BTW back in the mid nineties I sold my 348 and bought a NSX. Then latter came the F355 and I switched back

Yes I was just in a meeting and realised something that is relevant to my viewpoint, I've never owned a Ferrari so that is why the performance doesn't matter so much.

You guys have owned plenty of them and if you forked over a lot of money for a new model and it felt too similar to the last model you would not be happy. So some sort of change is required.

I feel though that Ferrari needs to reintroduce a new true Dino and make a considerably smaller car so they can let it grow like the current Dino line has ended up with the 458. The difference between a 458's performance and the F12 is too close IMO. It has now grown too big.
