awesome story dunno about you guys but if i owned something for that long i'd take a good home over top dollar just me
PRICE........ Wanting... $180,000 do want to sell the car! looking for a good home. been with me for 46 years+
Just curious, does BAT still get gas on cars that don't hit reserve but sell after? At $165k after gas I'm surprised you and your bidder didn't just chop to do $172.5k, but I also have not been alive for 46 years, let alone owned a car for that long.
I was watching that auction, really surprised it did not go higher, your car is nothing short of spectacular! gorgeous and drives incredible. absolutely something unique and special, like I'm telling you..... seriously, love it
This is the best time of year to buy a car. It's the worst time to sell. There just aren't many people looking for cars right before christmas. I have bought cars 3X in my life during this time a year. Always a good deal to be had. I love any 365 GTC4. Looks great and lots of room for storage or people, something many ferrari's lack.
Beautiful C/4!! I have owned 2 C/4s in the past, One of my favorite memories is driving the C/4 in 3rd gear at 5000 rpm through the Baltimore tunnel. What a howl. That car sings like an F1 in full song. GLWS. They are truly special Ferraris.
Note the paint, aside from a few repaints here and there over its 50 year life (encompassing maybe 15% of the body), that’s the original paint…and 50 years old.
wow, that looks just amazing, that that car is 50 years old is hard to believe, what timeless styling
Looks real nice exterior from those pics. Only original once. I am looking for another car for the stable. Was thinking Porsche, but this is tempting. I read through the BAT listing and comments. Quite a big peanut gallery!!! AC not working. Any idea what needs to be done to fix? Any other mechanical issues needing to be addressed?
I've recharged the AC every once in a while.. assuming a slight seal leak somewhere..the compressor or a fitting???. The AC on these were Ok at best even when new, Read in detail the comments on the Bring a Trailer auction site. Plenty of insight there on this car. I'll PM you, we can discuss details there.. or you can call me.. nothing major to note.. click on the driving and start up videos on BAT.. its a great car.. Would like to keep the car but I'm selling this car, and a couple others to make room for another car I just bought..
Yes totally different carbs, vs. Daytona. But recall the US had developed Crash Standards and the Daytona was pretty delicate, leading edge. I can imagine damaging a Plexi Nose version was $$$$ A lot of these (well relatively) got automatic transmissions when that was rare in Ferraris. The styling has definately aged very well.
Engines on the Daytona and GTC/4 were very different. Unfortunately, the 2+2 engine survived much longer than the superior Daytona engine because it had a height advantage.
