    Just been having a look at:

    http://www.qv500.com/ferrari348p8.htm

    and saw that Michelotto built a Evoluzione III power plant for the 348 that was never raced. I was curious to know haw they managed to extract 460bhp from the 348 engine?

    Would be interested to hear if anyone knows what the set-up was - I mean was this thing running on pure alcohol or something!!!:)

    Hi Paul. James at Norwood's can tell you, (one way), to get 460 hp out of a 348 engine!

    It'll be simialr to their 360 N-GT engines, but it won't have any restrictors on it.

    Approx 13:1 comp ratio needing 102RON fuel. Some nice lary cams, lightweight rotary and reciprocating parts, porting and flowing etc etc. Nothing really scientific, just optimised.

    360 N-GT using 30.8mm restrictors now have 440BHP, and they're only 200cc larger.
