Hi everyone we are newbies. I have spent a fair bit of time on here reading and learning but have never posted before. My thanks to those who have taken the trouble to post information on here...invaluable for sure.
We picked up our first Ferrari last Saturday 26/10/2013. It is a F430 F1.
Me and the missus got the train 1st Class from Chelmsford to Birmingham (UK), where we were collected from the station and taken to Tom Hartley where we purchased the car. I had test driven the car in atrocious conditions the week before. A big thank you to Gary at Tom Hartley for making the whole experience so relaxed and enjoyable, even in the pouring rain. Havent been that nervous since my test i dont mind admitting.
I drove the first half home and she drove the other half. The quickest 2 1/2 hours off my life it has to be said even though we stuck to the speed limit etc
Hopefully going to take her out tomorrow (the car that is) weather permitting. Havent had her in in manual yet...thats the car too.
    Still grinning......

There are quite a few "Car voyeurs" here so you may want to post a picture before you get bombarded with requests. Welcome to the fast lane.

    Dear All

We took her out out for the day yesterday and we shared the driving. We drove her in manual for most of the day and i'm still grinning now. The last few weeks can only be compared to my wedding week to be honest.
As well as the car itself which is obviously fantastic, we had kids taking pictures, nods of approval from the petrol station queue and of course the neighbours. I am glad to say that the vibe has all been positive so far. Long may it continue.
A boyhood dream realised and it can only get better as i get to learn the nuances of the car and how to drive her properly.
I am sure i will have many stupid questions on here so my thanks in advance.
