I have a 2018 488 GTB, just got it back from the dealer for the recent brake recall - brakes were good to go with new SRF fluid. Went to the track and after finishing a set of laps, my yellow calipers on the front turned brown. Rears we’re fine. Anyone have this problem? Any problems with the calipers if so or just discolored from heat?

Thanks - No, they didn’t catch fire - could have brake fluid left on them from the service done for the recall - this may have cooked on the caliper.

It’s heat. I’ve turned many many Porsche red calipers to a dark red purple and the white logo brown.

A brake intensive track will do this, running pads less than 50% thickness transfers more heat to the caliper too and not being able to full cool down laps and heading straight to pits to park does this.
