Hello all, Does anyone know a source for clear side markers for the 488? I was able to get "European" side markers for my old 911, and they look so much better than the stock amber units. Thanks Image Unavailable, Please Login
European 911's use the same front marker light unit, so clear lenses are available. Since only the U.S. and Canadian markets use the markers, I doubt that any clear lenses are commercially available. Fred
Not sure of the rules for USA can you remove them after the car is delivered what's the law on that? Only ask as you see them deleted know many US custom car show builds.... if it was worth the hassle have them welded up and paint the 4 corners? Luckily we don't have them on the UK spec cars. novitec makes black/smoke reflectors. If it bothers you paint them body color and unplug the light. If you ever need to get a skid plate that would be a good time.
I agree amber doesn't look good...I think I am going to paint my front reflectors the color of the car, and leave the rears because my calipers are red.... I wish I can find the front reflectors in red as well...anyone seen them for sale anywhere?
We sell the painted front & rear reflectors for all the 458/488/california T's. Let us know if you are interested! You can also buy them online by CLICKING HERE! Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
That is tempting, I don't suppose you can come close on three layer paints (Rosso Maranello to be specific)? What was the word on whether you can "legally" replace those in the US?
One of the main issues with the ferraris is that the front bumper, rear bumper fender, door and hood don't 100% match if you look carefully, due to the different materials (plastic, carbon, aluminum) they all don't perfectly match. We try and find a balance between all of those, so they are 95% perfect but there might be a slight variance. The only way for us to guarantee the color is having the bumper. But they are pretty darn close.
To answer your second question, we have yet to have any issues with the law with these. Most officers will not raise any problems with them as they are merely a reflector.
Awesome. Exactly what I was looking for. Since you have two TDF Blue's listed. I'm asking my dealership to confirm which color I have then I will place the order. Thanks Jeff
