    Hi all.

What am I seeing here? Looks like some sort of dashboard fastener somehow exposed.

Any opinions of why this is what it is?

    Thanks in advance,

The white circle in your photo is the top of a trim clip. It is commonly used in most European cars. The circle has become dislodged from the piece above it. The only solution is to remove the entire trim piece, remove the clip, and then reattach it to the trip piece. The clips normally snap into position, but you might want to epoxy this particular clip into its position.

That's what I thought. The dealer is telling me that this is normal after they pulled the dash apart 2x to fix the a/c vent.

    Anybody else?

Not normal. Hoping they didn't warp the dash by pulling to hard.
