    Hi All

I have just changed my 430 for a 488 and I am really enjoying the experience albeit some very cold weather in the UK at the momment :(

I am really looking forward to some dry warm days!

I do have a quick question regarding the folding mirrors. Is there anyway to fold them remotely? On my i8 I just press and hold the lock button.

    Thoughts?

Thanks again and I look forward to the responses.

I'm not sure about the 488 specifically, but I can tell you that on my 458, to fold the mirrors in (assuming you have the electric mirror option), you rotate the mirror adjustment knob down and that will fold the mirrors in.

It is ALL in the manual ... but yeah ... that cost you one hour or so to read it ... :D

    Welcome to Ferrarichat also :)

Congratulations on the car. Let's see some photos.

By the way, with regard to the mirrors, if you do have the electric folding option (again, I'm speaking about the 458 here) you can fold them in. However, if you accidentally leave them folded while backing up (such as out of a parking spot), it will erase your right hand mirror automatic tilt down setting.

Other than that, the folding mirrors are definitely a handy option to have.

Have to rotate the knob inside the car. Agree it's outdated (welcome to Ferrari tech) but it's better than having to fold manually.

    Thanks for the responses.

Maybe I wasn’t clear, I wanted to know if you could close them whilst outside the car (i.e. remotely), this is not mentioned in the manual so I assume not, I use the mirrors to check traffic before opening the door, and yes the adjustment knob is a little low tech.

roll on some decent weather !

A couple of pics after washing in 3 degrees Celsius.

I don't believe that can be done remotely.

Just fold them in before you get out. Hop in and then fold them out again. Seems convenient enough. Enjoy your purchase!
