Pagani interiors are very kitsch. Not my cup of tea. New brand for a worldwide news rich's generation.
Old Zonda with NA is wanted by many, just look at second hand market where Huayra is cheaper, Pagani is another proof that customers want big NA engines
One mans trash is another mans treasure. Even if it is hand made from exotic materials. I dont want a track only car and it is out of my price range so i dont give it much thought. And then where would i get it serviced?
I've just finished reading the review in Car Magazine. This is their conclusion... When we got on the plane to Italy, an anti-climax seemed inevitable. But right now, I want to keep driving, to dig deeper into the 488's abilities, to savour the experience. The best thing is, despite those claims of 85% of parts being new and the massive increases in downforce and a whole new turbocharged engine, the 488 still feels like a 458. I can't honestly tell you that it's a better kind of 458, because the sound of a Ferrari shrieking to nine grand seems to be gone forever, and we need to mourn that. But the 488's extra performance does, I feel, equalise the deficit. It's also worth considering the the 458 Speciale is so fresh in our minds, not the 458 Italia with which the GTB is more comparable. So the fact that the GTB isn't quite so razor-sharp as the Speciale is to be expected. What we need to see now is Ferrari pulling out all the stops and giving us a truly driver-focused 488. On this experience, I wouldn't bet against it beating its 458-based predecessor.
Went for a drive with some friends today. There were 3 McLarens followed by a Porsche Turbo and a then a 430. Despite the pace, the 430 driver remarked how quiet (read "boring") it was to be behind all those turbo cars. "Where is the sound?" He said he yearned for the sound of screaming Ferraris.
sound is important, no doubt about this turbo is not necessary, Aventador SV proves how fast can be car with old big NA engine
Yeah If you want to start building normal production, mass produced rear engined v12s again..... BTW this isn't the business model right now for Ferrari. There is no real world application for this tired argument. I do get annoyed by these suggestions of bigger engines, 10 and 12 cyl 6.5 liter blah blah blah.... It's because it's just not realistic as much as we all would love it, myself included.

Ferrari said they wanted to increase profit margins over the next few years. Turbo engines allow them to platform share powerplants for cheap. Variants of the turbo motor will be found in a bunch of cars now. Making power with turbo is much much cheaper then producing all new NA engines for every model... That what it comes down to, boosting profit margins to make up for the 2 billion euros looted out of the Ferrari bank account to pay for usurious debts incurred by Fiat/Chrysler merger. Baloney there is no real world demand for exotic engines. It comes down to boosting profits.
+1 People want exotic cars to have expensive exotic engines. If people want cheap horsepower tons of options available from tuning shops.
After the IPO, I think the "numbers" will matter more than ever. Having been through IPO's a few times myself, I can tell you that it usually changes corporate culture pretty drastically over time... and never in a good way, especially as it relates to product quality.
True true true. I'm starting to think that Huracan is actually the best now. It's just.....the look. But the new DMC body kits look cool. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xZIMVpPhdMI
You need to wait for Huracan spider, I think side profile and back will be look better without roof line
