I've concluded that Chris Harris was right after watching this video - the 488 has a more pleasing sound than the 458. Sure it's not as loud, but the tone and pitch somehow seems sweeter to my ear. Flame suit on.
You can dress off your flame suite. The same opinion here, "sound is absolutely animalistic"... (at 2.00) [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9QOS8ysIvm0[/ame]
I suspect a photoshopped Ferro which given the second pic has clearly had major surgery is simply not representative. Having said that the 488 looks fantastic in Ferro, to me the best colour for it.
Well spotted as it appears to be the Grigio Ferro factory photography 488 for the intro done in The Official Ferrari Magazine. Should have know since there are so few GTB's in existence with any other paint colors in that part of the world... Thanks!
While the GF has the standard wheels there is a weight savings of 4.4 pounds of unsprung weight per corner with the optional wheels. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Al I didn't forget> Matching luggage to for a better idea of the color which appears to be the new beige tradizione? The first picture appears most natural with a yellow tint to the leather in the other pictures. As Tim notes the Grigio Ferro is perfect for the 488 design! Thanks! It seems the basic color choices like red or black help to speed up acceptance of early orders for production...
Bold choice to not go with red. They even wonder in one feature story 'why isn't the 488 painted red?' for the test car.
