488 GTB Beeping sound when in reverse?

    I've had my car for about a year now and just noticed this beeping soung when in reverse. It's almost like a sound as if my seatbelt isn't on.

    I'm not sure if this has always been this way and I'm just noticing it now or if there is some kind of glitch. Does anyone else notice this on their 488?

    My 458 Spider does it so I suspect it carried over to the 488’s.

    Yes, my 488 beeps while in reverse
    I am very sure there is a setting somewhere to deactivate it but I never looked into it because it never bothered me

    There is also a thread on the V12 forum asking about this. I find these loud beeping noises reversing back into my tight garage are actually very distracting and not helpful at all. If anyone finds a solution please post it up.

    In my 458 and F12, I silence the beep by pushing the button located at roof level depicting a “P, a sound wave and a warning triangle.”

    If I recall correctly, that will only terminate the beeping initiated by the front parking sensors.

    Solved !!!

    In the 488 go to car settings on the left screen (most right option)
    Then go to the “car settings” Tab
    Then go to “Buzzer volume”

    And turn volume all the way down

    Car backing beep eliminated!!

    Yes Yes Yes. Thank goodness I came across this thread... The sound was so annoying.

    Does solve the problem, but then it also silences the buzzer for anything the car wants to alert the driver, such as faults o_O

    Shame it just can't be disabled for reverse.

    I think it also mutes the parking sensors?
