Great event. A huge thank you to everyone involved. I was impressed by the turn out. You had some new and old faces there. Even some people stayed up past their bed time to make it out. (Jimpo). Just kidding buddy.
Sorry I missed the event , wasn't able to make it back from NY until the lights had been turned back on, but the after party seemed good! It must have gotten a little crazy, we found hair extension on the floor this morning! So, who took photos and videos? The car was not started as FNA / Ferrari SpA has not chosen the final exhaust yet and doesnt want the wrong " sound " getting out there until they are happy with it. I can tell you that IF the exhaust that's on the car now was to stay, I would be surprised if anyone was unhappy with it. It sounds slightly less " tenor " then the Italia at start up / idle , but under load , while driving , or even better , at WOT , it's amazing. The only time I could tell it was Turbo, was when I lifted off throttle, and the bypass valves released pressure.... Very Nice! Thank you to everyone who made it out! S
I did Ferrari factory tour last week in Maranello. Saw and heard several 488s being loaded into truck for delivery as well as test driven around town. Very disappointing exhaust note. Just my opinion though. The tour guide hesitated when asked about the "poor" sound and said it was a must to go to turbo to keep up with performance in the market. Great experience!
HATE, was the first thought that came to mind when he sent me pictures. Then all I could think of was his license plate. "KY ROCKS". Glad you enjoyed the trip!!
