Hi guys is the MSRP showing on my TrueCar build $279,264 the same price I can expect from my dealer? https://www.truecar.com/prices-new/ferrari/488-gtb-pricing/
I had a 2005 F430 for 7 years and got my 2012 458 March '16 but for some reason today I really want to have my own Ferrari that has only been mine.
Any compelling reasons I should wait a bit before inquiring with my dealership?

    Thanks
    BB

Maybe TrueCar base is off then because it shows base MSRP: $249,150, with all my options added it shows $280,974, a little more this time I must have added something else :)

Also all I see for sale is 2016 488 GTB's are they making 2017 GTB's now?

you are better off looking at the 48 gtb options list price posted elsewhere on fchat, more accurate than truecar

I found an options price list geochin posted on fchat last year and using his spreadsheet my options matched TrueCar exactly to the dollar $28,280. So I feel pretty confident the MSRP would be $277,430, not too bad :) yay happy face Maybe it's time for me to finally own a Ferrari from birth not some adopted baby 😂

I have 2017 488, got it in August, reason why you dont see 2017 for sale yet cause you have to sign an agreement to not sell your car for 1 year

I have purchased 5 new Ferraris. Each, of course sold to me at MSRP.
But and it is a big BUT, when you order your car, unless things have changed, your dealer will specify cost as MSRP only. He will not put a final price down.
The reason is simple. Ferrari SpA or FNA can change the cost at any time. For a myriad of reasons. That extra cost to FNA by SpA or FNA to dealer is then passed along to the customer.
So, at the time of ordering, I would be very surprised if your dealer gave you a final price BEFORE he knows if there have been any changes.
In your case you are looking at an '18 model year. Therefore, base car or options cost is likely to change at some point from the '17 pricelist you have.

I have no agreement to not sell mine, it's dealer specific.

Great thanks for the replies guys. I emailed my dealer last night and he got back to me this morning and said they would be happy to have me come in Monday and build a car :) He estimates my build will get picked up in December/January and car will be ready around this time next year woohoo how exciting my own baby :) I'm heading to Hawaii on Tuesday so will probably head in after my trip to go over the nitty gritty.

OK just wanted to give an update I met with my dealer today and placed my deposit :) They estimate the build will be picked up in December and I'll have my 488 around this time next year.

I was also a bit concerned about the 488 sound since there has been so much discussion about it online but they had a 488 on the floor they let me turn on and rev and wow it sounds awesome! Being picky I would say my 458 sounds better but the 488 definitely has a great sound. I was pleasantly surprised and not even close to a deal killer. The engine does look small when looking through the glass cover but I think that's just because I'm so used to looking at the massive 458 engine.

For all those obsessed with numbers like me the TrueCar numbers were super close. TrueCar has the 2016 Base Price of $249,150 dealer said 2017 Base Price $252,800 plus $3,750 Delivery, Process, Prep & Handling. My car will be 2018 model year so he said to expect a 1-2% bump in the base price. The TrueCar options prices were spot on to the dollar!
Also the dealer gave me this awesome 488 GTB book which will help keep me psyched while I wait for the build :)
