Not in the market, but the Ebay section just posted a 2017 488 GTB with 4295 miles for $289,000 OBO. The market seems to be softening. Summer ending, too many on the market,
not as desirable for some as a 458, too many other options, saturated market, all of the above?
I realize that Ebay prices may not mirror the market all that closely, but this is surprising.

As I'm now actively looking at 458 Spiders, that market also seems to be softening.
Interesting. A good time to be buying, not selling.

I skipped the 488, and jumped right into a 2015 458. Could not be happier. In fact, I have a 2018 GT3 coming in and I actually don't even care. Just want to go home and drive the 458 everyday. Last NA V8. Last V8 Pininfarina.

But the 488 is also a super awesome car. To each of his own. I say wait till the 488 GTO (or whatever is called) comes out first and see how much the regular 488 market will change.

Agree with this. Prices may well be softening but you cant use this particular car as a guide. Someone drove the hell out of it. good for them. but 5k is a lot for a 1 year old Ferrari.

Been following the market for some time. Definitely an increase in inventory but I don't see the price softening quite yet. Cars that are < 300 K are usually cheap optioned car with odd choice of interior (blue/red). As Mayor pointed out in one thread that there is just too many upcoming competition (porsche/mclaren/lambo) and flippers. I think the 488 bubble will burst soon. Good for buyers like us.

There are 75 units for sale in Autotrader alone. Thinking to sell over msrp is like thinking to win a lottery in a single bet. When the 488 GTO comes out, get ready for 20% off msrp, at least. Ferrari may tell a story that only few people can get, in the end, they still need to sell cars.

I bought my first Ferrari, my 488 GTB, in December after hemming and hawing for 3 years trying to find the right deal. I got a decent deal, below sticker but I have absolutely no doubt that I will get my ass handed to me in the upcoming depreciation.

Guess what- I dont care. Love the car and everything about it. like they say, its only money. :)

Sure you want to buy smart and not lose money unnecessarily- but sometimes you can get paralysis by analysis trying to time the perfect deal.

Buy your car, drive it into the ground and enjoy the hell out of it.

My 2018 GTB will be over 400 MSRP and will have 5k miles in a hurry. If I don't like it I'll give you a good deal [emoji23]

No chance of price softening over here. Different case here in Australia. Australia wide only 8 GTB and 2 spiders only for sale.

    GTB between 50 - 100 k over sticker $575,000
    Spider 100 k over sticker $513,000

    And these are 2016 cars.

FYI we are about 0.80 USD so that sticker price $575,000 is $460,000 USD and $513,000 is $410,000 USD and lets not mention then add all the extras.

For me if you can get one at 300 k you have a bargain.

    Hi All

Cheapest Right hand drive 488 on autotrader in the UK is still £205k .Basic list here is £183k

There is always the options argument and the sticker price v base price argument.

But prices seem to be firm still.

The cheapest right hand drive 458 on autotrader here in the UK is £135k by comparison, so again quite firm.

Hey, I just realized you are also on TRF! My user name there is 1st Amg.....we have the same taste in cars, I have a 2011 SLS same color and I have a 2015 458, but you have the 488! And you are right, drive the car and enjoy, no need to worry about miles.

I have about 4,800 miles on my 2017 488, no idea what its worth and don't care right now. Its such a good car that if I get stuck with it...so be it.

It's now entering its third year of production it's going to come down a bit. As an aside when I traded my 458 Italia for Spider I lost more then I did when I traded 488 GTB to Spider. I don't see any problem with used values dropping a bit in third production year, it's normal especially for that mileage I think that price is about right.

How many think twice about driving their car when they really want to, but hesitate or don't due to concerns about depreciation?

My GTB sold for over MSRP 2 weeks ago. It was 15 months old and had 1600 miles on it.

That's good. I've heard of dealers selling brand new cars for msrp. Spiders are going a little over.
