I also see a gap on the right end, as if that was an active rear spoiler (think Enzo).

It would nearly be impossible for me to order without the stripe. And why, oh why did they have to go and do something like offer stupidly expensive carbon wheels?!

At first glance it looks OK but it's actually all wrong on so many details that it is maddening. Such a lazy effort considering all the details available. The really cool details at the front with the Challenge-like flick up spoiler are all wrong. The on my thing valid is the color and stripes.

Again, I don't understand the benefit of such efforts when a picture of the actual thing exists and is much better detailed than this.

It's possible..even if I can't shake the feeling that Ferrari still might have a couple of aces up their sleeve.

That's what I was thinking of, but the red bit I spotted in the spy shot still intrigues me.

    3 weeks to go...

I think the back scoops near breaklights will be feed with air from the side intakes, the upper "half" witch on the GTO is far smaller than that from the 488.

Glad emilano folows this thread https://www.instagram.com/p/BeZ7Y4HngWI/

I also think spoiler its movable, but not as much as an Mclaren 720s or a 675lt

So they took your sketch, slapped their watermark on it and published it as if it was their creation? What the hell?

If you are referring to the upper portion, or the "shelf", I don't think this can move for two reasons.

1/ that shelf is too big and complex a piece to move and would create too much disturbances to airflow.

2/ since the 3rd light is part of this panel, as it moves the light will be less visible.

The one part I could imagine moving is the underside of the spoiler. Doesn't even have to rotate up as on the LaF, it could just slide aft so creating a gap that could be fed by upstream air (from the opening at the front of the spoiler in the center) to blow the underside of the spoiler, i.e., an up washed flow.

With current color trends, I expect that most of them will be ordered in red and versions of gray/titanium, with blacks in third. I think grigio alloy or azzurro Dino would look sharp.

Nice. Now add the flow from central scoop feeding the underside of the center part of the spoiler.

Great sketch! I don't think the rear spoiler is moveable, because it's too expensive for such a cheap car... ;) (if I know Ferrari, it will be a fixed wing for that reason. If I'm wrong... I will be very happy to be wrong, because Ferrari is a legend in which I still believe)

    ciao

I am not sure what to think. All know is I got my allocation slot last night after being recommended by both FNA and my dealer. I say this because there have been some posts claiming that the dealer is the sole body deciding who gets the short straw and I have been told this is not the case. There will be approximately 900 built world wide and there will be a LE version car after the Aperta restricted solely to challenge car drivers they will all be tailor made one off's. All of the dealerships are having a private preview of the car on the same day Feb.20th for all their 488 VS allocated clients. My dealership is getting eleven cars. At that time we will get to see the car in the flesh and reach our own conclusions including hearing the engine at high revs. it should be quite the evening.

Just a thought is that it could be to do with exiting of air under the rear wheel arches - like was used on the front of the 458 Speciale. I am not a aero engineer so might be totally wrong
