There's no way that any dealer knows the actual name if this car before the press announcement
I would regard F1 teams (or even better, aerospace manufacturers) even more adept in the art of carbon fibre. Personally, I don't hold to high esteem a manufacturer who does not build its own engines. As Enzo used to say, these are merely "garagists". regarding the speeds, a good driver should know all that.
There were also some about a hypothetical TdF Aperta being built for some customers. Nothing true, obviously.
Speciale sounds like a pizza And Ferrari LaFerrari is ...what it is. They could very well call it Pista
My dealer informed me an LE variant of the 488 VS will be made available to Corse clients only. Perhaps he had a little too much during his visit to Maranello but he's never misinformed before.
like my old 430 scuderia the 488 vs code name may be "light pista" it was the name we put on the order before we descover later the real name "scuderia" a friend of mine told me that his dealer did the same with his reservation : 488 light pista, its pretty sure it wont be the real name
The LE version are the 90 special Tailor Made models they're doing which have "unique" features - whatever that means. I heard nothing about performance upgrades.
As I understand it, the 812 Aperta is not an LE car. I've heard there'll be another version but no idea yet if it's LE or VS and haven't asked. There will be a couple of limited runs based on the 812 chassis but they will pay homage to cars from previous eras - they will be seriously limited runs and probably look different to the 812. I'm doing Tailor Made for my 812 in a couple of months and am down for the Aperta.
I totally agree - best to only buy for fun and passion - impossible to go wrong then . Other Prices are softening to more realistic and 'correct ' levels ... however I've had 2 unsolicited offers on my f50 significantly higher than the dealer offer last year - she's not for sale even for double the price - seriously - just starting her up gives me a bigger smile than any car I've had the privilege of owning .... a proper raw race engined manual car .....
Couldn't imagine Ferrari giving this car a name like Pista as it would become subject to too much ridicule.
I Like what your saying ........ my ™812 gets specced march 19- whilst there Il enquire directly with them re poss Aperta ....
From privileging Challenge participants as buyers to emphasising the influence of the Challenge car on the external design and engine hardware/ performance, this car seems to draw a lot on the Challenge product. So, what are the chances of recycling the Challenge Stradale name?
Is anyone being asked to buy a 488 gtb and a 488 spyder in order to get their 488vs allocation? Or has anyone heard that Ferrari is asking people to do this?
in the US the LE will be available to VIP also. The LE tailor made will only be available to Corse clients.
