I bought a used 488 GTB a couple of months ago, it looks stock to me and to the local Ferrari service.
I can't get the Catalyst monitor ready for smog check (California), after 1200 miles, and countless drive cycles, but all other monitors can easily be set ready (evap monitor can't, but I read that it's expected).

The Ferrari dealership is trying to understand why for many days, as everything looks good and normal, whatever data they analyzed, so Ferrari service is investigating if the ECU was flashed or if it's an aftermarket one.

Does anyone know if it would be hard, for an official Ferrari service, to know if my car has an aftermarket or flashed ECU?

Does anyone know if the ECU software version or something like that can be read with an OBDII device or app (I use "car scanner" app)?

    Thank you.

I work 1.1 miles from your location.
Would you be able to see it if I bring the car in, or do you need the ecu to be removed from the car?
