Hello f-chat, So I have owned my 488 for about a month now and have driven over 3,000km on her. Been on the track twice already and every time I get into her I smile. I'm really enjoying my 488. Now with that out of the way. Three questions for you experts, 1) I live in Canada and our unit of measure is KM's. I have changed my left display(speedo) to km but can not figure out how to change the navigation system. So everything in is KM's but my navi still displays miles. Does anyone know how to change the navi to KM? 2) Is there a way to leave the car in neutral WITHOUT the parking brake when the engine and ignition are turned off? 3) Is there a way to prevent the radio from turning on when I start the car? Thanks!! Jeff
1) you may have some settings in the "options" menu of the "NAVI" screen of the right display (hopefully) 2) there should be a button next to the brake lever to deactivate the automatic brake before switching off; you also need to activate the so-called "carwash" procedure to have the gearbox staying in N rather than locking in P, apparently 3) I would also be interested if there's a way to do that
1) Yes, pretty much whatever screen you're on (on the right-hand side), pushing the "Options" button will bring up settings unique to that screen, including "NAVI." That said, I have the opposite problem--I enabled an obscure feature whereby the car announces in a human voice when I go a set amount over the current speed limit (10 mph over, in my settings), but it can only do it in kph, not mph! 2) Correct, you can disable the auto-park feature using the button next to the park lever. 3) If you press and hold the volume knob for a few seconds (the volume knob, not the joystick you use for navigating menus), you can turn off the infotainment system completely, so the analog speedo shows on the screen on the right. The car will remember this setting, so if you turn off your infotainment system before you get out of the car, it will be off the next time you get in. I like to leave it off because I like the analog speedo and because I also find the radio annoying.
