The owner manual says “press the accelerator pedal and release the brake pedal “ Can anyone elaborate on this the best technique? Do you push the accelerator all the way? Do you release the brake at the same time as you press the accelerator or do you hold the accelerator down first and then release the brakes when you’re ready to take off?
Dealer's advice: push brake, push the accelerator all the way down, release the brake. . . . then hang on.
Once you've pressed the "launch" button, push the accelerator pedal to the floor and hold it there (the car will hold RMPs at a certain level, don't worry, you won't over-rev it). Then release the brake pedal as quick as you can and steer. Upshifts will be automatic.
