    Dealer just called to tell me that if you don't get the upgraded Hi-Fi radio in Pista you don't get a radio at all - can anyone in the US with a Pista without the upgraded Audio confirm/deny this?

    My pista arrived in October without a radio, to my surprise. I didn’t select the upgraded sound system but didn’t know radio was not standard.

    So it sounds like he's correct.

    In Aus the radio isn't standard. Personally I think it's a must have option and have ordered it accordingly

    Good to know as I have been asking my dealer how to spec the "radio delete" option. It would be a shame to save all that weight with carbon fibre only to blow it on a radio that I will never turn on! Will deal with the resale implications when the time comes.

    Yes, the radio is a 400 pounds option. :).
    Must save weight.
    What the hell, Ferrari.

    That’s great! Anything “reasonable” to save weight, not money

    There are some connected options.

    1.nav+radio
    2.audio system (-> speakers)
    3.premium audio system (JBL)

    1. has to be connected to 2 or 3 to work.

    i'd always recommend 3, since the standard VS model audio system is a pain for every ear. The JBL system in the regular 488 is one of the best audio systems available in a sports car.

    I received further clarification. The Pista does not receive a radio as standard equipment. The only way to spec a radio is to choose either option SND2 or SNDB.

    SND2 is "NIT System with Integrated Hi-Fi" - $3375
    SNDB is "NIT System with Integrated Premium Hi-Fi" - $9618

    I'm not sure if it's needed in conjunction with the Radio but although I will never use it, I did add Navigation - Option Code NAVC - for $506
