Would you trade your Speciale for a new version V-6 Ferrari?

Or your Pista for 'big brother' ?

May I ask what you meant by “well know?” Do you mean well known to you from an undisclosed reliable source or well known to the general public? fer9000 has previously posted that the total number of Pista spider is around 800.

so far reliable sources have said 499, 800, and 1200. So who knows. My educated guess is around 800 but that's only based on our dealer allocations versus allocations for the 458 Aperta and F12 Tdf...Honestly I don't think anyone here really knows for sure.

No. The only way the Pista Spider gets sold is if there is a F8 Tributo Speciale Spider

Did you give up a Pista coupe to get the spider?

No, my Pista coupe already at stage 30.

According to my dealer's allocation, Spider is about 1/3 of the Coupe. If that means anything at all.

If I remeber or understood well there will be no a special series but honestly now I have a doubt that we were talking about the BB.
Btw I will clarify this week!

In my opinion will be questionable to make a special series of a transitional car that you have to introduce because you are late with the original plan/project. IMHO

I have not posted a number of total Pista Spiders. I gave just as reference the approximate number for the Americas.
I re post my past post:

fer9000 thanks for correcting my post of your previous post. So if US normally gets ~30-35% of total production, that would equate to about 800 total Pista spider production. Is that correct?

This was the car that came to Australia. I note the Pebble Beach car had diamond cut wheels and the one that came to Aus didn't...however the paint was the same.

Verdict:More theatrical than either a McLaren 720S Spider or GT2/3 RS, more outright fun than a Lamborghini Performante Spyder, the Ferrari Pista Spider sits in a little niche of its own. Ok, so the whole slightly arrogant Ferrari pitch is a bit offputting at times, but you just can’t argue with the execution of the vehicle itself. I’m not a Ferrari devotee, but a blast in a Pista Spider on a sunny day on a good road will remind you what’s good about life. It will satisfy a racer and a poser in equal measure, delight pretty much everyone. The Spider loses very little dynamically when compared to the Pista Coupe, and gains quite a lot in terms of immersion in the wider experience. Convertibles - especially these neat little folding hardtops - don’t feel very compromised. If you don’t believe me, find a track, drop the top and launch to 124mph in eight seconds dead, and drop through the gears into a tight set of corners. You’ll be a convert in ten.

Well that doesn’t make the wait any easier! What a car this promises to be. Very kindly Ferrari has spec’d a press car very similar to mine so I can at least see what it will look like on the kind of roads I plan to use it. :)
