The car has Just around 17k miles right now. I purchased this car in May of 22 with about 4k miles on the clock. I’ve had a helluva time pushing it. I Went and spoke to the Good Folks over at Ferrari of Atlanta today and They are still troubleshooting making sure it isnt a sensor and is actually the turbo. If its the turbo it is covered under warranty (Thank God). It isnt a repair id be happy covering on my own as i bought this car as a cpo and the turbo alone cost over $15k. Ferrari of Atlanta website. I am waiting for my longtime FoA master technician to mess something up so I can give her all my Ferraris.
Lolol.. I've never encountered a female mechanic. When they told me she was working on it I knew it was good becuase there's no way she can suck and make it in this industry. Not possible lol. EDIT: Suck as in be a bad tech. Get your minds out of the gutter.. Lol. Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat
You are spot on. She is superb from what I see and hear. Came over from Mercedes. Ran rings around the boys. Outstanding hire.
Yea. I've never had a bad experiance at FOA. A good group they have there. They know how to treat thier clients. Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat

So was it the turbos ? Were they covered by the CPO warranty ? I just bought a 488 GTB with 8100 miles and it’s currently getting inspected for the CPO warranty. The car should be delivered Tuesday or Wednesday next week. I am now a nervous wreck and somewhat lost the excitement and thrill of purchasing my first Ferrari. To me it’s still unclear if the CPO warranty covers the turbos or not. If it doesn’t , can I purchase a different warranty that does cover the turbos? If so, great, I will do this before I have the car delivered to my driveway.
What are you worried about? A issue very few people have on a part that's always been known to have an expiration date?
It was the passenger side turbo. It was covered under warranty. So long as you have CPO or Power Warranty you won't have to worry about a blown turbo. I drive this car the way it's meant to be driven so a blown turbo is to be expected. Which is why Ill always have warranty as long as I own it. Be excited it's your first ferrari. You'll love it. Ok well i'm glad to hear the warranty covered the turbo replacement. I plan on driving the **** outa this car as well and i just want the peace of mind that the CPO warranty covers the turbos.
Ferrari warranty(s)* cover turbo failure, not abuse ( or failure due to aftermarket performance parts ) welcome to the family, you are going to enjoy it! Steve orginal 3 Warranty extension Power15 MainPower15
Even if you rev the nuts off the car the turbo should not fail, unless you don’t give it time to cool down before you stop the engine.
My dealership did confirm this, however , they said Ferrari never updated the warranty papers to show this information. So the power15 docs I have don’t say anything about turbos. Annoying if you ask me.
The last thing I would be doing on line is telling everyone about driving the car the way it out to be. The way it's meant to be means different things to different folks. If you do so , fine but if you think comments are not recorded and a failure occurs you might be eating your words proving no abuse. Been around a long time!
Only when it comes to warranty work or what the book says. No real troubleshooting abilities. Could barely get a replacement key programmed in my 488 and also said it needed a gearbox bc some solenoid codes to the tune of $40k. Indy changed the filter and fluid and a few heat cycles and had it running great. What codes is the car showing for bad turbos?
Are the Chinese recording us again!? Seriously, do you think some random poster on a car forum is going to be held liable for his turbos if Ferrari doesn't cover it?
my brother in Christ, I do not work for Ferrari. You can **** your tailpipes for all I care. Drive the car how you want
