Sorry if this topic has been discussed before and I might sound like I don’t know how to drive ( which is partly true ). In my spider I get very nervous when changing lane to the right. With the top down, and when I look over my shoulder i often mistaken a car being right next to me when it’s just the hump behind the drivers seat. I don’t recall having this problem in my mclaren 650s spider. The 488 also feels a bit bigger compared to the 650s. If turn my head 90 degrees and see nothing, does it mean that I’m safe to make that turn? Or do I need to purchase one of those little blind spot Mirrors... it helped tremendously in my huracan. Thanks in advance Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I do the same but my side mirrors are adjusted specifically see the blind spots in the way out position. Best , Kirk
This is how they should be adjusted... You should not see any part of your car when looking at the mirror.
I find the blind spot really bad (458 spider) when making a left and not perpendicular to Road you are pulling out onto. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
I thought just the opposite. I am amazed by the visibility with the top down, very unlike other exotics I've owned. Take a longer beat to drink in the view, look around the hump, there is lots of data being presented panoramically.
OP...There was a useful thread on this in the Cali section soon after I bought my F-car. I think the principles linked in there can help with your 488... https://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/threads/passenger-side-view-mirror-blind-spot.522817/ T
If you’re not doing it this way, you’re doing it wrong. https://www.caranddriver.com/features/how-to-adjust-your-mirrors-to-avoid-blind-spots Sent from my iPad using FerrariChat.com mobile app
