    Hello,

I have a 2016 488. The other day I got in and started the car and had suspension failure, manitino failure, e diff failure, and just about every other system failure. Also brake like is on.

I have two codes that seem to come back as soon as I clear them.

    They are :

    PIE81
Vehicle Speed Implausible Due To CAN Plaus Master ECU

P1F06 MSR Status Not Plausible Master ECU Absent

    Battery is brand new AGM

I did some research and seemed like a lot of people had similar issues and was due to the brake light switch, so I ordered a new brake light switch and replaced it with zero change.

Took the car for a drive with the scan tool hooked up and was able to read the Wheel speeds from three of the wheels, the right rear will read zero at any speed. I assumed it was the right rear wheel sensor, so ordered a new one and installed today, no change. data-stream still shows no speed change out of the right rear wheel sensor at any speed.

Another thing I thought was odd, when I access the ABS module with my scan tool, the Manitino failure goes away, and I am able to change the car out of wet mode. As soon as I exit the ABS module with the scan tool, the car goes back into wet mode, and the Manitino failure light comes on.

Has anyone had a similar experience? Not sure why I am not getting any reading from the right rear heel speed sensor, thinking this could be the culprit for all of my lights…

    Any advice is greatly appreciated.

I had the dealer fix the same problem. My car was stuck in wet mode. The dealer simply adjusted the electric parking brake (hand brake). I'm not sure what they did to adjust it. Good luck!

I had this issue in my 458. In my case, it was the wheel sensor and I had it replaced. They did have to do a reset afterwards to get it to read properly and that did fix my issue and got me out of limp mode. If you replaced it, sounds like it needs the reset, especially if its still not reading correctly.

May I ask the following questions.

Did you buy the car brand new ?
Has the car ever been repaired ?
Does it have a better battery than the OEM one ?
Does the car have any , I mean any , modifications ?
Do you keep it on the tender all the time ?
