My new 488 has seven year old tires (rear only), In good condition but old. I'm thinking it's best to replace the rears because of their age. Whats your thoughts on the best tires to purchase?

Good grief man. What is on the front? And how old are they?

The fronts are from 2020 and the rears are from 2017. Time for a change I reckon. People just leave them on I guess and as long as they have tread they reckon everything is aok. Especially if they don't do many km's. I've only had it for two months and reckon its best to wipe the slate clean and start off in a good way. with sticky new ones. So, thoughts on preferred brands and/or sizes?

The original Michelin PSS K3 may prove difficult to get, I think one of the best choices would be the (unmarked) PS4S, which exist in the correct front and rear dimensions and ratings.

I think the original tires or the next gen of them are still available. I'm going to do that for my 2017 488. My tires have 6000 miles on them and still perform well.

Pirelli PZeros or Michelin pilot sport 4s are the most common options, both will be better than a 7 year old tire. Perhaps look at your specification plate to see what ones your car originally came with and get those.

Get the Michelin Pilot Sport 4S, they are the best by far. I think that the fronts have the K1 Spec, but the rears are generic (If I remember correctly)

No question, the current favorite performer is the MPS4S

When I purchased my 2016 488 GTB last summer, dealer installed PSS K3s all around as part of 'Ferrari Approved' certification process.
