Hi guys. Sorry for the many threads. Last one I promise.

488 GTB is what I’ve decided on. But il need to get an aftermarket system.

A company in the uk do a full inconel system which also tunes it to 700bhp.

my question is, does an aftermarket system bring the car to life? Anywhere near the 458?

YouTube videos don’t seem to do it justice ❤️

PS aftermarket exhaust may compromise warranty especially if cats involved too

Chris Harris thinks the standard 488 sounds better than the 458 lol.. When i switched my 458 for a 488 my main concern was the difference in noise. Surprise, surprise i was shocked how loud it was when i first started it up, even louder than the 458 !.. The only exhaust mod i'd do is switch to a 200cell cat downpipes instead of the standard 600cell ones.. You can kiss your Ferrari warranty in the process which is why i never did it after much procrastinating over the idea.

Seems Ferrari UK does have no issue with Aftermarket System and Warranty.

    '''Hi Adam

No, it won't affect the warrant as the exhaust isn’t covered under the warranty in the first instance.

    Kind regards

Does Stuart know what he is talking about ? Maybe he is confused b/w brakes and exhaust ? Load of horse radish , obviously the exhaust is covered under warranty.
Change the exhaust and they got you.
Pinning vales is no issue because above 3,000 rpm they are open. This is an issue for your local laws , EPA , noise etc.

Valve control, gives you control. Pinning is disconnecting the air lines so the valves are always open.

I won’t ever be having them closed so i don’t suppose it’s worth £600 to get the Forza installed. Takes hours too.

Is it easy and safe to pin them?

Safe yes. It has been comment you will lose some Hp at take of because of loss in back pressure . I dont know because Ferrari offered to do it free of charge when i bought my car.

Maybe someone can post it ?

With a 200 cell or cat bypass paired with a stage 2 tune, the 488 is in it's best form!
