    I know many, "una Ferrarista"...

Depends on language. All cars in Italy are feminine, thus in Italian 'una'. Not transport vehicles, but here we can go on for ages.

Un Camion, (truck) Un Tramvia, (Tram) Una Bisarca ( Automoblie Carrier) (Bartoletti, of memory).

It is perfectly acceptable in Italian, to call a car "un", no set grammatical rule, albeit uncommon to do so.

If you say your car (a she, is real p.o.s) in Italian, you would immediately call it a HE, as too impolite to be a SHE in this instance.

Really very few exceptions. Cars with numbers are easier, but with proper names or sobriquets, are different.
Cannot say una Dino and then due Dini. My only observation, due Dino, due Lusso, asexual.

Even this is flexible if the brand or name starts with a vowel or a consonant, thus, un' Isotta (abb. of una),
yet correct on Una Lusso, not, for 'Una' "Gobbone", never 'Una' "Gobbone". If you were to use that, nah...sounds too strange, no rhyme.
Yet, and in N. Italy, with a Milanese accent (industrial tone, of preference) "Il Lusso" has been used.

    G. Marzotto spoke of of that with my mother at the bridge table, I had the luck of being there.

Such an intricate language, and really full of exceptions in usage. :) But 'due' and 'tre' have no sex, alas...even in Italy. :)

The worst offender in the USA, 1 Alfisti, 2 Alfisti. Will just never be corrected.

    Regards, Alberto
