    Is this doable?

Do the 2.7 and 5.2 block and heads differ? Basically I want to use these with all ancilliaries, wiring and ECUs etc from a 2.7 car if possible.

Thanks in advance for any advice!

    Cheers,
    Bryn.

I know of 1 guy who had it done by Dave Maxwell. Car seems to run well. Don't know too much on the techical aspects of the transplant.

As far as I can tell, the difference between a 2.7 and a 5.4 is all up above the throttle bodies:: fuel injection is different (injectors, fuel pressure), ECU is different, air path is different.

It is said that early 2.7 builds had different heads, good for about 30 hp by one account.

Riiigghhtt, Ferrari decided the F355 was too fast so they intentionally cut the power output. I'll buy the 5ish drop for the OBDII equipped cars but then that was not intentional.

Common... we all know that the 5.2 has 50 more hp than the 2.7 it's just that Ferrari didn't want anyone to know so they never mentioned it.

2.7 has a different bolt alyout for the timing covers on the heads. Need to use the 2.7 covers and all else brought up before my post.
