I was driving my car back from dinner tonite on the freeway going 75, nothing unusual, an my 5-8 check engine came on. This is my second 355, and I have never seen this light come on before(other than start up). I was wondering if anyone would post what some of their results were from with the same problem. I realize there is a number of things that can cause this, I just figure there are some common answers that will satisfy my curiosity until it goes to the shop next week. Thanks -Colby

P.S. the car is a 95 with a Tubi and Tubi test pipes

This car is a 95, so no rear temp sensor, and no obdII.

I had the 5-8 light come on my 95 355 two weeks ago. I was on the way to the Autoitalia at the time, Karl Verdi from Verdi ferrari told me of two cures. First clean the electrical contacts on both airflow meters, and if that does not work swap the air flow meters around. I did the swop in 10 mins and the job was done, no more lights.

I have not had that happen on my 355, but on my Mondial t (348) it happened...cause was the cat conv getting to hot...(or just showing to hot on gauge) temp sensor changed / fixed

colby, If you cant get it figured out take it to corfee car care in sac. Eric is a great guy with a lot of f- knowledge. He just did the cluch in my 360 spyder and he has a ferrari as well. He does high end exotics and is not a rip. His shop is spotless and he does not do this for the money. He loves working on lambo, hummer, ferrari, he had a 427 cobra today in the shop and i think i saw a mercedes gold wing.
