I recently went to Yosemite National Park for an extended weekend; Thursday to Monday. Thursday: Arrived in Yosemite Valley, stayed in Camp Curry. Friday: Top of Vernal Fall Top of Nevada Fall Sentinel Bridge view of Half Dome and Yosemite Falls (In Total, 10 miles roundtrip and another 1 in the Valley) Saturday: Top of Sentinel Dome Taft Point Glacier Point Mariposa Grove of Giant Sequioas (In total, roughly 7 miles) Sunday: Mirror Lake Loop Hung out in the Valley Lower Yosemite Falls loop (I've hiked to the top of Upper Yosemite Fall before) (In total, roughly 7 miles) Monday: Left Yosemite Valley, went to Hetch Hetchy Reservoir Hiked to Wapama Falls (Roundtrip, roughly 6-7 miles) So my Father and I hiked roughly 30+ miles in 3.5 days. We had an awesome time. Something we both will never forget. Here are some of the highlights of over 250 photos taken. The 2nd to last (me in front of the roots of the Fallen Monarch Sequioa; I'm roughly 6'5" with boots on...just to put it in perspective of how large it was). Nice. I gotta get back there. It's been YEARS. My problem is that Big Sur is my favorite spot on earth, so when I decide to go somewhere, I generally head that way
you must to work in the office of tourism..the pics are beautiful!!!! thanks for sharing them, it s holiday before date.
Same here - used to be an annual vacation for us to go to Bass Lake for a uh, rock solid week - usually near July 4th - and take Yosemite in from there as we went out and about.
I've never thought of tourism as a career. Actually, these pics were just point and shoot with a Sony T1 CyberShot (5megapixel). The trip was a graduation trip from college...currently unemployed. Glad you enjoyed the pics! Thank you!
Beautiful shots! I've lived and travelled all over the world (including Nepal, Switzerland, Hokkaido, etc etc), and I'VE NEVER SEEN ANYTHING AS BEAUTIFUL AS YOSEMITE! YOSEMITE IS INCREDIBLE!
Good to hear it's as spectacular as places I dream of going to. I think the Alps would be amazing to see. I would love to see Europe someday. Glad you enjoyed the shots!
Nice pictures! If you have time get up to Glacier and drive up the ice fields parkway into Canada (Banff, Jasper) , that is some great scenery also. BT
I recently saw a TV show about Glacier National Park. After watching it, I really would like to go there.
