You're SOL I believe unless you buy single bolt wheels or a newer Tr.

Prova85 is right....there is NO adaptor for this conversion as far as I know. You could update to 1988.5 and later suspension...big time expensive though. I have spent many hours thinking about this very issue. I even went to the trouble of ceating CAD drawings of early TR front and rear wheels based on extensive measurements, and using an optical comparator. I was able to creat nice 2 view drawings, as well as a sectioned cut-a-way drawing. I also made drawings of the center hub too. My original intent was to find a 5-lug wheel that could be machined to accept the center hub...and then have the center lug bolt be the "center cap" for the wheel. I think something could be made to work, but it would require a couple of scrap wheels to practice on and prototype everything out. I eventually just gave up on this venture.

In the past Norwood Performance has sold aftermarket wheels with TR center splines. Believe me, they look great after they go on the car. He also has some cool aftermarket TR stuff that looks pretty cool as well.

Carguy is right. - I think that we cross posted on this some years ago.

I even bought a set of 5 lug TR wheels to do measurements on and decided that it was a no go in any case without swapping out the suspension to a later model.

That would be interesting, but a mega buck project with little return.

I did end up buying a set of 16" wheels when a rear tire blew.
It was cheaper than buying metric tires.

    Well Guess What !!!

SL Competition just sent me an email about Holiday specials...and they have made a "star" type wheel for center bolt cars! I knew it could be done, looks like a 5-lug wheel with the center bolt looking like a center cap but in actuality it's holding the whole works on the car. I would have liked to see the 512TR style wheel with this treatment....but you can't have everything.

Check them out and see the design.....

There are choices for wheels for your TR or Boxer spline drive: BBS, Kinesis(my choice), SL Comp. And you can chose from 16"-22" sizes. There are also wheels available from Germany, but freight and warranty would be a concern.

Each one has a website, just Google.
