    today, exactly 50 years ago, Lorenzo Bandini crashed fatally at the GP Monaco.
    On the very same day, my mother passed away.
    R.I.P. Lorenzo
    R.I.P Mom.

    Having only recently seen "Grand Prix", where J.P. Sarti crashes to his death in a Ferrari while trying too hard to overcome a stall on the starting grid, and then seeing Bandini also crash to his death in a Ferrari while trying too hard to catch Hulme, made me realize the extra sense of passion surrounding the marque compared to all others. That made me a fan, and is the reason I'm driving a Ferrari today.....

    Always sad when a loved one passes on and sad when a favourite racing driver is killed.

    Lorenzo had qualified into 2nd place with a 1:28.3 against Chris Amon' s 1:30.7 in 14th place.
