today I went out with my BB 1st time since long time after doing a major, rebuilding the rear axle, new clutch engine just started well and I let it idle a little to get warm. then I did a short testdrive and adjusted the carbs. co left and right 3.6 - 3.7, but HC left side 280 ppm and right side 1500 ppm, got this side down to 450 but not more. so I wanted to drive a little and then test again. was going about 2 km and then suddenly the rpm not going down completely, only to 2500 rpm. then accelearted again and the rpm not going below 4500 rpm. so I swictehd off the ignition and roll tor the right side of the stree. opened the engine hood and have seen that the trottle linkage not was going back to the electromagnet. I tried then to push it back but not possible. but I could open the trottle more and when I let it go still the same. then I disconnected the lft an d the right linkage from the main linkage and the trottles all closed. I treid then to move the mail linkage. nearly blocked. so I drilled in the 2 mainscrews for fhr trottle each side and was driving then home to my garage with about 2000 rpm. there I let it cool down for 3 hours and all was working fine again. so I really wonder. I let the engine then idlle for about 20 minutes and te same thing happened again. problem is left and right the main linkage is fixed in a rose bearing / Snodo sferico ( 107620 ) and when outside the aluminum bracket gets warm it will give pressure on this bearing and so it blocked. before I put a little oil on when I put all together. now I put on some special grease and it works fine now. was driving 30 km without any problem. happy to have the car on the street again Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
