A batch of electrical problems(including 12 volts on the starter line when
it should not be there) on my 93 512 tr seem to be comming from the
fuse box..ignition switch tests ok. Does anyone know of someone
who rebuilds, repairs refurbishes etc? Or, if this is not the best solution,
    a source for a new box ?

There was a thread earlier this year addressing the problem with the tr fuse panels. Evidently even new ones are poorly made and the root of the problem seems to stem from the contacts in the harness connectors start to relax, then overheat then the board starts to melt. I ripped my apart and found the construction consists of 43 or five seperate layers of mylar sandwitched together. And unfortunately, I would distroy my board un-soldering the all of the indexing pins/pads which would allow us to improve the design. So, what I did was resolder the pin to board connections and then added some teflon insulated 18 ga wire between the relay terminal and the repaired pin locations. The repair is hidden behind a plastic carrier and works great. Since it's very difficult to locate replacement female connector pins, you can easily use a needle to push back a small tang in the connector, withdraw the terminal, squeeze it slightly, put a little dab of copper contact paste (made by thomas&bett-sp?) and reassemble everything. From previous posts, the offending circuits usually are fuel pumps, cooling fans and maybe air-cond fan. Notice this list doesn't include your starting circuit so you may have found a new can of worms! If anyone ever has a dead fuse panel that I can disect, we can make a better solution. I seem to recall $2k for a board!
Let me know if you need more info. Good luck!
