I never did it on a 512TR, but often on a testarossa
you may take out the complete instrument panel, and if you change 1 bulb you better change just all bulbs at the same time, saves you a lot of time

    Yes do so !

And check wheter all small bulbs ARE installed and if not do so.

Because then you may also be able tot test the ECU's of the 512TR ... look here ! :)

And that's a very nice extra 512TR-only feature which was only installed in USA cars ... (so maybe you miss 2 bulbs of the orange lights)

I can tell you the following....

1)The instrument cluster is fairly easy to remove.

2)I think you remove the bottom trim piece first.

3)I remember 2 10mm nuts that remove at the bottom of the cluster.

    4) You will need to uncouple two harness connectors that are next to the footwell. If you are laying on your back looking up they will be above your head to the right. These are all the wires that will run up to your guages.

    5) those 2 bolts will be the only thing holding the cluster down. The leather may be "sticky" holding it down to the rest of the dash but it will come up. I think you may also need to tilt your wheel down too.

that is all I remember. I have done it because my speedo had to be repaired.
