Quick question: When removing the stock silencer, do you need to take out the precats and cats, or is there a way to slip it out while leaving them in place?
Being a bit neurotic, I went ahead and pulled it all, which was actually pretty easy. I am going to get all new donuts, and one bolt is stripped. I think having it all loose will help get a good fit. The Capristo is now hanging in it's new home, looking good. The only questions is, to hyperflow or not to hyperflow? Image Unavailable, Please Login
you have it apart go ahead with the hyperflows, from what i have read on here they make a difference....(looks,sound,some hp).....
I would have done hyperflows, had I known how hard it would be to scrape the old donut residue off the cats. Anyway, got it back together today and went for a little drive. This is a Capristo level 2, everything else stock. It is just a little louder, but it is nice. Certainly not as big a sound difference as a level 2 on a 355. Like most Capristos, it has a more metallic sound, not much bass, no droning. Personally, I like it better than the Tubi. At some point, I will do the cats as well. It is raining now, but I will try to get some video and post it in the next couple of weeks.
