    Hello fellow BB owners, the distributor on a BB slides into a camshaft and is sealed with a small o-ring. These tend to leak quite often. What's your experience and how did you solve this issue?

    I had this recurring issue on one of my 308 distrib's. What finally seemed to make a difference was being very meticulous installing the new o ring. I wrapped the splines very carefully with teflon tape then slide on the o-ring and removed the teflon tape. Also, I lubed the o-ring before installing the distributor. It seemed to take care of the leak.

    You can roughen the shaft with scotch bride. It avoids seeping the oil between shaft and seal.
