sounds like probably 6-7 years at best. you DO know what it'll cost you if it goes bang, right? you do realise your time is not free, even for you, right? i think you're taking too big a risk. take it to zagames for a belt change before it's too late.
Bah, let it blow up I say! A hard day on old belts will do them some good. It will soften them back up and they will be good for another 5yrs or 30,000km.
the belts probably resemble the beaten up leather straps seen on old foot powered Singer sewing machines by now
is this another pic of you and your boxer on the track, phil? looks the same to me. http://img242.imageshack.us/my.php?image=f3a7b382cdbe757d2c70548nu7.jpg
i didn't drive your car on the track...but i have photos of mine doing it, phil's doing it so i think it would be safe to assume yours is a big barge too.
I know exactly what it'll cost me if it blows up... I doubt it will though... I've budgeted for a complete top end rebuild anyway... worse case realistic scenario is a damaged piston... so I'll fit Hi comps... don't mind that idea actually.... or maybe a buggered cyl head.... I'll find one. my time isn't free of course, but I can find time to do my own jobs. oh the pic.... yeah... very funny.... I quite like that pic with the 348/F40...as it shows how much mechanical grip the car makes with my tyre choice
but barges are fun to drive... and if you enjoy a challenge, all the better... almost anyone can drive a good car pretty quickly... but to drive an old barge quickly is much harder
no one....i was always the only one on the track. all bought locally and engraved by myself. of course, i'd never have won any of those old boxer trophies if YOU'D been around, right? *sigh* phew...lucky for me you weren't then, hey?
I asked a simple question.... See you at PI tomorrow then... to make sure I don't get Fastest Ferrari?
really? so why'd you ask it? fastest ferrari at PI? well...if i were there you wouldn't get it, obviously (unless you think you're going to do better than 1.49) but i don't have a problem with you getting it.
your boxer is grunty like all the other boxers...but i don't know why...big engine? oh...and there were lots of hot shots who were going to get a better time than me in my boxer...there were a few around in those days...but funnily enough, they never did.....(once i learnt how to drive the bloody thing)
get real; hey...see if you can see australia's best boxer in these pics http://www.pless.com.au/89rally
no I see George palby standing next to his Can Am car.Your OHOS and what is the story with the dino and the GTB push em of the road or did you flip the Boxer ob top of em,just asking silliyia things have happened.
you better put your glasses on again if you can't see the best boxer in aus! too many questions, so little time. full explanations at next coffee or dirt road drive.
