    Anybody in the Fchat community know anything about the 512BBi sn 45399 for sale at Fairfax Motors in Virginia? It came from the west coast and I am interested, but cannot go to Virgina to check it out due to work conditions (I live overseas). Has anyone had expereince with Fairfax Motors, and is there a reliable place in the area to get a PPI done?
    Thank you for any input you can provide.

    ferrari of washington is pretty close to it. about 20 miles/20 mins drive from fairfax.

    members seem to like ferrari of washington. ( i work near the place and i managed to get a tour today. it looks real nice) I can go in and ask if you want.

    I was actually there a couple of days ago. I never got a chance to really get take a look at it, but I believe they were selling it for around 74k.

    I was looking at there 1986 Porsche Turbo, but it wasnt in too great of condition :( . Plus They only give a 30 day warranty on there cars.

    Yes I am looking for a legal BBi that can be smogged in California, Murph.
    I made an error on my original posting....... the car in question is sn 45339 not 45399. By typing in this sn in the search feature, there was additional information posted. I don't believe this example is that bad...... it will need probably $10K to make it right, but it does not have a BAR sticker. How did the previous owners keep the thing registered in California (it has Cal registration) all these years without the BAR sticker? Gary Bobileff in San Diego has a nice BB for sale with the BAR sticker, but I can imiagine that smogging a carb car is quite a challange for us California residents.

    Hey Mike,
    The owner (Andy Gorowitz) tends to purchase all of his exotic's from Manheim's auto auction in PA. Ocassionally he will get a good car in. But you really need to look it over. I looked at a 97 355 he had. It was not anything I wanted to spend the kind of money he was asking on.

    There are some Excellent mobile exotic mechanic's in this area. They will do pre-purchase inspection's. Let me know if you would like me to pass along there information to you.

    FoW has done PPIs on cars at local independents. In your shoes, I'd call Josh, the Ferrari service manager at FoW, at 703.478.3606, and order up a PPI. Just my 2 cents, as a very happy customer.
