I was wondering if you guys can help with my research on my new '83 512BBi #44815 Can anyone list the items that came in the owner's pouch of a new 512BBi. Were there many differences from year to year such as pouch color, pouch material, printed supplements, etc...? It would be great if anyone has photos of their owner's pouch and contents. Thanks Kevin
I have two blue and white Kenwood / Pioneer radio sheets. I did not read these. I have the brown factory BBi owners manual. Superb book. I have a red color book that lists all the official Ferrari dealers and service locations around the globe. 1982 is the listed year on the front. There was even a dealer in Nicaragua !!!!! I also have a black 12 cylinder service book. This gives you the recommended service intervals. The book is stamped by the dealer in Belgium / Francochamps. The importer B.J. Lyon of Alabama, is listed as the buyer. This was 12/82. The car is a 1983 Model. Pouch is the typical one used for the BBi - cloth pouch with dark brown Cavallino Rampante with tan background, and trimmed in dark brown leather. The inside of the pouch appears to be a leather suede ? + coupon for a F.C. - free one year Rosso membership !!!!! LOL
Here's everything that came with my 1983 #46189. 1.Owner's Manual 2.Waranty card/owner's service book 3.Lubricants Chart 4.Lubricants Comparision chart 5.Pioneer BP-520 Equalizer manual 6." " KE-4300 Cassette/tuner stereo manual 7." " Warantee booklet 8." " Service Information card 9." " Mail in market research postcard Also shown is the original Veglia/Borletti "hang tag" that was attached to the clock's stem with the instructions on how to set the clock.
Damn Gary: You got more crap than me. Perhaps the dealer in Belgium took care of these ? LOL They are going to sell them on e-bay for a fortune. Do you have two tags on your unused spare tire ? Wait. I "do" have that white sheet in the bottom right hand corner. I do not think I have the other one. Mail in market research card ? LMAO Like they are going to care what any customer has to say.
WOW!!!!! Thanks Ralph and Gary. That is exactly the info I needed. Gary do you by chance have a clearer picture of the label on the rubber of the spare? I have the adhesive outline there but no label left. Thanks again.
I received an original factory signed, & dated "Dichiarazione Di Conformita" or Declaration of Conformance Certificate with my 82' 512BBI's manual package. The document is printed in Italian and includes the Vin# to my car, date of manufacture, and declaration#. A guy I work is Italian and translated it to English for me. Dave
Awesome !!! I am going to leave work and check !!!!! LOL Listen let's go into business the 3/4 of us. We will come up will all these extra tags, stickers, and brochures to satisfy the thirst of the Ferrarista's. We will make all kinds of fake tags, and make them look old. Imagine how much a cheap radio tag for a 275GTB/4 would be worth ? How about a sticker for a 250 GTO's spare tire ? Well you get the idea !! We will make more than the Nigerians. LOL
Great idea! I can get one of my graphic designers to recreate them. You know we'll have to get this thread deleted so no one's wise to the forgeries. Anybody want to start name calling or post some inappropriate photos?
Me too. Here's a copy for those who are curious what they look like. I've also got a "factory invoice," air freight bill, etc.... tons of documents, thanks to Dick Fritz at AmeriSpec and the original importer/dealer.
Here's a few more interesting documents. Federalization check list. The original AmeriSpec conversion invoice (name covered for privacy). The Boxer was brand spanking new and AIR SHIPPED over from Italy to JFK in NY and then trucked to AmeriSpec in Danbury,CT.
Thanks for all the pics Gary. This stuff is interesting. Do you have a shot of the outside of your owner's pouch? Trying to figure out if some were leather and some were fabric? Thanks
Murph, Mine looks the same as a typical 308 owner's pouch. Prancing horse pattern fabric outside and leather on the inside. Ferrari probably used the same pouch for all their various models of cars during the same time period.
Hi Gary, Do you have a close up of this tag. I located one but I'm not sure it is for the Boxer. Thanks Kevin
One comment: the Warranty Book is a bit rare, but replacements can be found. The most rare document of all is an original Warranty Book that has not been completed and is blank on the buyer's name page. This way you could compete it with the original purchaser's name to meet the most serious documentation requirements. Many people buy a replacement to have the document, but used ones are usually already filled-in with another Telaio and name. Lee
