I have recently acquired a non ABS 1993 512TR and wonder whether I need to change the brakes for better performance or not. I do not track it.
I have been offered a set of 575 braking system (4 wheels) and also 2 front wheels of 550. Should I change it? If so which one.

Are you happy with the stopping power of the current brakes? If so, leave them alone, particularly if you're not tracking it.

Dont go w some frankenstein set up. Brembo has a beautiful upgrade kit that will put Massive F50 brakes on all 4 corners for under $10k

They used my 93 512TR as the prototype. Put the more agressive pads in the back to calm the tail from swinging on high speed braking

I started a new thread RE the F50 brakes w photos so everybody can see the difference :)

It doesn't matter if you track the car or not, but if your driving style is like P'Moo..ha ha ha, I suggest you put on a better brake.

512TR's brake just aren't up to the job when you drive aggressively. I didn't upgrade mine, just put on new pads and rotors....still never fully happy with the performace, but since I don't really push the car, I am fine with the factory set up.

Yo need not worry about that anymore, right Pong with your new Stradale?
Actually I don't drive it that hard regularly but once in a while so just want to know the opinion here.

Then, it's better be safe than sorry krub...

There are many ways to go from here. You can upgrade the pads and put bigger rotors. That should satisfy your need. In that case, many brand offers the kit for TR or you can custom make one. But the kit William suggested above is really one of the best.
