512TR engine oil, switch from Agip to Mobil 1?

    Hey everyone

    my car was serviced a 2 months ago, with Agip Syn2000 10w40. Now my oil level is low, and I already added the extra pint of oil the garage gave me about 1,000miles ago, I can't find this stuff at any of the local auto parts store.

    Is it set in stone this car has to run with AGIP? Can i switch to Mobil1?

    Now that my oil level is a bit low, the service garage only opens on tuesday, should i just wait, or should i mix in some Mobil1 ?

    Hey Manny, i personaly hate the Agip...i used it for years in the tr and always had to add 2 litres per season on 1,500kms....i switched about 3 years ago to Mobil 1 15/50....doesnt use a drop all season...actually i think i also noticed the car not running as warm either...you'll love it when you make the switch.

    PS...wait and buy the agip since you have it in there, but next time around get the 15/50 syn from Mobile 1, you'll thank me later....plus its $1 a litre cheaper.
