    Just a litte confused.....I'm looking at 512tr precat by hyperflow, and the question is does'nt the TR have precats and cats? does the hyperflow replace both or just the pre cats

    Thanks for the great picture. I 'am having the engine out service done and you know it's the time to upgrade the exhaust. I have a lot of very fast very loud cars and not sure I want another real loud car, however I really do want the power gains and that sweet ferrari sound. So I wonder if the test pipe ( pre-cat) and high flow cat or test pipe there to, with a stock muffler would sound good?
    It looks like your stock exhaust manifold were jet hot coated, are they? they look great.

    I took the pre-cats and removed the rusty tin outer shielding, hollowed out the ceramic matrix and then bead-blasted/coated them. Without the matrix, they will not get hot and therfore will not need the shielding to prevent grass fires. I also replaced the cats with test pipes. With the tubi, the sound is awesome, but perhaps a bit loud for most tastes.
