I have a Euro spec early 512TR, it has had cats removed and Tubi test pipes fitted, both thermocouple and oxy sensors are connected to the test pipes. Problem is the 1-6 test light keeps flashing on and off which seems to cut the engine out, there is also a 'chattering' sound which seems to come from behind the drivers seat(RHD) in time with the dash warning lamp, could be a relay cutting in and out, or some sort of switch. Has anyone had a similar problem?? I could live with the warning lights, but not the engine dying.!! many thanks.

I had a simalair problem but it went away quickly. Have your mechanic check the switch behind the ignition in the dash. Check the O2 sensors also.
Have you ever replaced the printed circuit board ? Might have to do that too

bazzis -- When you say "1-6 test light" do you mean the "SLOW DOWN 1-6 CYL" light or the "CHECK ENGINE 1-6 CYL" light?

I had the same issue with my 512M and come to be that the spark plug wires were loose, check to make sure they are all clicked in also check your gas cap that by being loose in might triger the sensors. Finally, I took off my spark plug wires to check them and a few of them were faulty. I replaced them with aftermarket ones. Let me know if you need the name of the manufacture....the car runs like new now.
    Hope this helps my friend.

Thanks for all your imput, found the problem!! it was a combination of multi pin plugs on the right hand bank (1-6) of the engine, the ones that are around the spark plug leads, needing to be cleaned and fitted properly, many thanks............
